Celebration of “PI Approximation Day”

The “PI Approximation Day” was celebrated by Department of Mathematics on 22nd , July, 2022. On this day various activities such as a poster making competition, lectures prepared by the students and one small drama were presented. Dr. K. J. Chauhan, Head, Department of Mathematics greeted all and mentioned that such student –centric activities are always promoted by the department as their interests, abilities and learning styles are improved. Dr. K.J.Chauhan also congratulated all the students who participated in poster presentation competition. Dr. Dhiraj B Shah and Dr. Janki J. Vashi rendered their service as Judges. As the principal Dr. P.R. Desai could not attend the function, he sent his best wishes to all the participants and his massage was conveyed to students by Dr. Chauhan.

Then after, students delivered lectures about PI. They worked hard to preparer lectures, read properly and did necessary research to prepare lecture. Their performance was appreciated with a great applause.

On this occasion, Professor, Priti Simgaraju (Head, Department of English), delivered a short speech and appreciated the work of the students. She also congratulated her colleague, Dr. K. J. Chauhan, Dr. Janki Vashi and all participants.

Last but not least a small drama was screened “About PI” by the students. The drama, prepared by the students, was very effective. Miss. Padmini Das (MS31), Miss. Prasanna Dhoraviya (MS-12) and Miss. Vinita Kashyap (MS-21) acted and also wrote the script.

The student of the third year, Shri Kartik S. Limbachiya successfully managed the whole event. The students of the third year, Miss. Hiral R. Borad, Miss. Drashti S. Bharthaniya and Shri Harshil K. Solanki performed admirable duty to organize the programme.

At last, Dr. K.J. Chuahan congratulated all students of the third year who gave their best efforts to make this event successful. He also expressed his heartfelt thanks to Principal Dr. Pruthul R. Desai, Prof. Dhiraj Shah and Dr. Janki Vashi.
