The Chemistry Club of P T Sarvajanik College of Science have organized a Lecture on “Career Opportunities in Chemistry” for all the students of the Department of Chemistry.  The event was held on 3^rd September, 2022 at the Class Room no. 26 of the department. Total 87 students of B. Sc. Chemistry (Sem 1, Sem 2 and Sem 3) were present.  

The programme was started with the inaugural and welcome address by Dr. Sambhav P. Vora, Associate Professor and In-Charge of Chemistry Club of the department. He gave a brief introduction about the activities of Chemistry Club. He also gave brief introduction of the speaker and explained the importance of the career orientated presentations.

The speaker, Dr. Sutapa Mondal Roy of Department of Chemistry started her presentation by giving brief outline about the field of chemistry and importance of the subject. Next, the speaker explained the opportunities of “Higher Studies” in the field of chemistry after passing B. Sc. Chemistry and M. Sc. Organic Chemistry. After that, she explained the opportunities of Jobs in Government sector for the Graduates in Chemistry. Next, she explained all possible industrial job opportunities in public sector and finally industrial job opportunities in private sector is also explained. At the end, the opportunities of higher studies in abroad universities were explained to the students.

 At the end, the speaker answered several questions from the students. The speaker proposed Vote of Thanks to conclude the programme.
