REPORT on ORIENTATION PROGRAMME of M. Sc. Sem 1

The Department of Chemistry of P T Sarvajanik College of Science organized an Orientation Programme for the newly admitted students of M. Sc. Organic Chemistry.  The program was held on 23rd August, 2022 at the Class Room no. 24 of the department. All students of M. Sc. Organic Chemistry (Sem 1) were invited for the orientation programme.

The programme was started with the inaugural and welcome address by Dr. Sandip A. Joshi, Associate Professor and PG In-Charge of the department. He gave a brief introduction of the Sarvajanik Society, P T Sarvajanik College of Science and the Department of Chemistry. He also gave brief information about the Teaching and Non-Teaching staff members of the department and various courses run in the department. Afterwards, Dr. Sambhav P. Vora, Associate Professor of the department delivered necessary information about the academic design of the M. Sc. Organic Chemistry course, rules and regulations regarding the academic matters. The students were also made aware about the existence and functioning of different committees and clubs in the department as well as in the college. Next, Dr. Nimesh R. Kamdar, Assistant Professor of the department provided information regarding the opportunities in the field of Organic Chemistry. He also clarified, how to articulate and understand the advantages and challenges and how to integrate social support system and connection with other students.

At the end, students of M.Sc. Sem 1 have given their own introduction. Dr. Sandip A. Joshi proposed Vote of Thanks to conclude the programme.
